After a morning welcome coffee session, Elaine will review with students the Design Notes for – let’s call it a “Faux Wedding” for various venues including Langdon Hall, Hacienda Sarria, Honsberger Estate Winery and Cambridge Mill.
The Faux Weddings are themed: “Grand Garden-stye”, “Red, Coral, Wine” and “Twig. Feather, Nest”.
Friday we will be designing a REAL wedding! What better training than that?
BONUS day! Saturday we will complete a REAL Wedding and head over to the venue for installation and staging.
Some of the skills students will be learning include:
Bridal Bouquets, Floral Crowns, Boutonnieres, Corsages, Garlands, Structured Centrepieces in floral foam, Hand-tied Floral arrangements as centrepieces, large scale floral decoratives suitable for an event/wedding.
Floral swags for aisle/chair decor, Grand Floral Swags for Archways, Grand Floral Decoratives to be set on a pillar,
NEW this year: floral decoratives for Obelisks.
You will be taught the fashion in flowers, current styles and techniques.
Some of these activities will be done individually and some as a Floral Team. Every day you will take flowers home!
